2019 is a year full of challenges for Taporel Electrical since it confronts difficulties, such as waves of government supervision (environmental protection inspection, safety inspection, etc.), and price rise of raw materials for FRP core rod. Among the raw materials, glass fiber, epoxy resin and curing agent increase by 15%, 32% and 22%, respectively. Even so, Taporel Electrical cannot raise price for customers at its will and its profits are getting smaller.
In March 2019, Taporel Electrical organized special meetings for the leaders of all departments to analyze and discuss the impact of the external environment on the future development of the company’s production and operation, and impacts of the disorderly price rise of raw materials. In the meetings, we mainly focused on how to deal with bad behavior of profit-seeking and dishonest suppliers (glass fiber, epoxy resin) who increased price at any time. Our conclusions were: we should always adhere to the original idea of “China’s Taporel, world’s HV insulation”, and the business concept of “responsibility and conscience are what we care about”. We would select suppliers and customers with good reputation and establish customer credit files.
Since March, the heads of production, R&D, QA, and HR departments have organized staff training while administrative department has organized examinations to check the skills of front-line employees and their awareness of product quality. Employees are asked to give suggestions on how to reduce waste and improve efficiency. In addition, special training on safe production was also conducted. By the end of July, 120 employees have passed the examinations. Meanwhile, vice presidents also gave their good suggestions and opinions on company’s development.
