Description

What is FRP Angle?

FRP Angle is a structural component with a composite material fiber reinforced plastic (FRP) with a polymer matrix and reinforcing fibers such as glass or carbon. L Shape cross-section gives it excellent structural integrity and flexibility in all manner of construction and industrial applications. It is known for its lightweight and high-strength properties that provide excellent resistance to corrosion, moisture, and chemical exposure and is therefore suitable where these types of material will corrode, etc. In addition, it also has good thermal stability, and high insulation and can work reliably in harsh temperatures and high voltages. Frames are used extensively in marine, petrochemical, wastewater treatment, and power generation industries for such uses as framing, bracing, supports, and protective structures. Low maintenance and long service life make them a cost-effective and efficient solution for demanding applications, and their easy installation makes them convenient too.

Application

Composite angle is widely used in many industries because of its great durability, corrosion resistance, and adaptability. They are applied in petrochemicals, marine construction, food and beverage processing, paper manufacturing, metallurgy, wastewater treatment, transportation, aerospace, and power generation services. In the construction industry, they are required as an essential part of wall reinforcement grids, building railings, and roof supports. In the petrochemical industry environment, they have outstanding resistance against corrosive environments and can be used for filter plate supports, oil well sucker rods, pneumatic pipeline brackets, stairways and handrails, drainage systems, and generator radiators. Fiber Reinforced Polymer Angles are often used as insulating structural components in electrical and power applications such as high-voltage cable trays, antenna masts, and high-voltage operating rods. Versatile, lightweight, and very easy to maintain, these are practical and efficient solutions to the needs of harsh industrial and environmental conditions.

Features

1. High Strength

The tensile strength of the fiberglass l channel is 150– 300 MPa and the bending strength is 200–300 MPa. The yield strength remains above 78% of the original flexural strength after 1000 hours of artificial accelerated aging.

2. Low Deformation Rate

After 1000 hours of artificial accelerated aging, FRP profiles exhibit minimal dimensional change, 0.03% length variation, and 0.07% width variation. It doesn’t allow geometric shapes and dimension stability over time.

3. Thermal Deformation Resistant (High)

FRP Angles are stable without softening at high temperatures of up to 186 ℃ and maintain toughness to -60 ℃ for use in extreme environments.

4. Low Water Absorption

Since the water absorption rate of FRP pultruded profiles is only 0.257%, which is one order of magnitude lower compared to standard fiberglass products, they can be used in humid as well as wet environments.

5. Strong Corrosion Resistance

FRP Angles in 95% hardness after 24 hours of immersion in a 3% HCl solution, and 89% hardness in a 3% NaCl solution making them ideal for use in highly corrosive environments such as coastal areas and industrial applications.

6. Environmentally friendly manufacturing

FRP pultruded profile production is an energy-efficient, low-noise, low-pollution process that meets stringent environmental standards while providing high productivity.
