Shaanxi Taporel Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in developing, manufacturing, and selling electrical insulation materials, composite materials (FRP), composite insulator core rods, and other products. Founded in December 1995. The company is located in Jinghe Industrial Park, Xi’an, China. The first phase covers an area of ​​80 acres (53,332 square meters) and a construction area of ​​12,000 square meters; the second phase covers an area of ​​110 acres (73,332 square meters) and a construction area of ​​50,000 square meters. Walking into the factory feels like entering a park.

 

Taporel’s registered trademark for electrical products is Taporel, registered in the United States and Madrid member countries as early as 2015.

 

The main products of Taporel Electrical include epoxy electrical insulation rods (round, square, special-shaped), vacuum injection braided insulation tubes, non-partial discharge insulation tubes for lightning arresters, non-partial discharge insulation rods for lightning arresters, hollow composite insulation sleeves, dry-type transformer insulation stays, dry-type reactor insulation stays, dry-type reactor insulation slats, glass fiber winding insulation tubes (tubes), electrician-specific SMC, BMC products, polyurethane pultrusion products and more than eleven other products, which are widely used in the power insulation equipment manufacturing industry. They are composite suspension insulators, composite pin insulators, composite post insulators, hollow composite insulators, composite cross-arms, drop switches, high-voltage disconnectors, special composite insulators for electrified railways, spacers, composite jacket zinc oxide arresters, high-voltage fuses, dry-type transformers, dry-type mutual inductors, dry-type reactors, cable accessories, and other products. Today, Taporel Electrical’s products cover various voltage levels from 10kV to 1000kV, especially widely used in large quantities on UHV and EHV lines of China’s power grid, and have been recognized by industry experts and composite insulator manufacturers. Since 2005, composite insulator core rods have been exported to more than 20 foreign manufacturers, and the products are worldwide.

 

Taporel Electrical currently has 130 employees, including 32 scientific research and management personnel. There are 120 composite insulator core rod pultrusion production lines, producing about 20,000kg of composite insulator core rods every day (converted according to φ18 core rods). There are 5 sets of epoxy pipe production equipment for lightning arresters. The company has complete product inspection equipment. A high-voltage hall with a length of 24m×width of 24m×height of 20m has been built. It has 1 60kN tensile machine equipment, several sets of physical and chemical test and water diffusion test equipment, and 2 sets of stress corrosion resistance test equipment for composite insulator core rods.

 

Taporel Electrical strictly implements standardized, normalized, and scientific management modes. The company has been recognized as a high-tech enterprise. Won the National Science and Technology Progress Award. And has nearly 10 invention patents, among which [No-release agent composite insulator core rod] obtained the national invention patent [patent number: 200610041850.1]. At the same time, it won the title of Xi’an Famous Brand Product. The brand was rated as a Shaanxi Famous Brand Product. The no-release agent core rod passed the Dutch KEMA experimental type test. It also passed the 5000-hour stress corrosion resistance test of the Wuhan High Voltage Research Institute, the 1 million vibration test, and the American 100-hour water boiling test with sheath (ASTM). It is the drafting unit of the national standard GB/T2300-2008 and the core rod standard for ultra-high voltage composite insulators.

 

The company strictly implements the ISO9001:2000 management system, GB/T28001-2001 occupational health and safety management system, and GB/T24001-2004/ISO14001:2004 environmental management system. Each process is self-checked, mutually checked, and professionally checked, and the quality has a one-vote veto. All performance standards meet the standard requirements of pultruded core rods in IEC61109, GB19519, DL864-2002, DL/T810-2002, and IEC61462. Composite insulator pultruded core rods are subjected to power frequency withstand voltage test one by one before leaving the factory, and glass fiber wound insulation tubes (tubes) for composite jacket lightning arresters are subjected to partial discharge test one by one.

Development History

1995 Weinan Fangzheng Electrical Insulation Material Factory (the predecessor of Taporel Electrical) was established.

1998 High-temperature-resistant core rods were successfully developed.

2000 Taporel core rods passed the US ES-3096 standard; on June 25, the acid-resistant composite insulator core rods (Φ38) produced by Taporel Electrical passed 140,000 vibration fatigue tests.

2021 The composite insulator core rods (FRP rods) and arrester tubes produced by our company have been exported to the world, and the quality and service have been recognized by customers.

2002 Shaanxi Taporel Electrical Insulation Technology Co., Ltd. was established in Xi’an Economic and Technological Development Zone. Taporel Electrical passed the ISO9001:2000 quality system certification.

2004 Core rod vacuum injection process was successfully developed.
2006 The third generation of ECR ​​acid-resistant core rods was launched. Taporel Electrical core rods are entering the international market. Taporel Electrical moved to Jinghe Industrial Park and occupied 80 mu, and the number of production lines increased to 60.

In 2007, Taporel Electrical was rated as a “high-tech enterprise”.

In 2008, the number of production lines of Taporel Electrical increased to 80, making it the largest composite insulator core rod manufacturer in China.

In 2009, the vacuum injection molding process of Taporel Electrical was successfully developed.

In 2010, the second phase of the Taporel Electrical Jinghe Industrial Park project was completed, covering an area of ​​110 mu.

In 2012, our company, Taporel Electrical, was rated as a “famous trademark” by the Xi’an Administration for Industry and Commerce.

In 2013, Taporel made a breakthrough in the production of large-diameter core rods for high-voltage composite insulator pillars.

In 2014, we produced a super-large pultruded & wound core rod with a diameter of 285 mm and a length of 4500 mm.

In 2015, we successfully developed and produced a large-diameter core rod with a diameter of 220mm and a length of 4500mm for UHV post composite insulators, which was a great gift for the 20th anniversary of the factory!

2016 The 4th generation core rod was successfully mass-produced and launched! The pultrusion speed is 120-150cm/min for diameters below 24mm; the pultrusion speed is above 30 cm/min for diameters of 120mm. The entire line of products can meet the needs of three-interface bonding without surface treatment, no grinding, and true “0” dust.

In 2017, Taporel Electrical signed a cooperation agreement with Xiangyang State Grid Corporation to purchase the core rods of composite insulators in the Changji-Guquan ±1100 kV UHV DC transmission project that they won the bid for.

In 2018, the State Intellectual Property Office of China issued the “Large-tonnage Composite Insulator Manufacturing Equipment and Process” certificate to Taporel Electrical Insulation Technology Co., Ltd. Patent number [ZL2016 1 0185747.8]. The patent certificate was issued by Shen Changyu, Director of the State Intellectual Property Office.

In 2019, Taporel Electrical’s international registered trademark passed the review of the US Trademark Office
