The english name of PI: polyimide, the chinese name: polyimide
PI board and PI rod (polyimide rod) are a new type of high temperature resistant thermosetting engineering plastic. Due to its high physical and mechanical properties over a wide temperature range of -270-400 ° C, it can be used at -240. Long-term use in -260 ° C air, and has excellent electrical insulation, wear resistance, high temperature radiation resistance and physical and mechanical properties, more synthetic methods and can be processed by various methods.
Glass fiber is added to the PI. Graphite and boron fibers are reinforced to achieve higher hardness and strength, and can replace metal-made jet engine structural components. PI resin can be used as a self-lubricating material after filling with graphite or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE). It can be used to manufacture high temperature resistant brake pads after adding wear-resistant filler.
Vespel is the most representative of the polyimide (PI) plastic series.
VESPEL-SP1:The basic specifications have the highest mechanical strength and electrical properties.
VESPEL-SP21: Add 15% graphite fill specification to provide wear and heat resistance.
VESPEL-SP211:Fill with 15% graphite and 10% PTFE to get the lowest static friction coefficient. Suitable for medium temperature environments.
 VESPEL-SP22:Add 40% graphite fill gauge to the smallest expansion coefficient and highest creep resistance.
 VESPEL-SP3:Add 15% molybdenum disulfide fill specification for frictional sliding requirements in vacuum or inert gas.
